Jim began his career with Equitable Advisors, LLC in May 1992 in the Denver, Colorado Agency and was promoted to District Manager in 1996. In January of 2005 he was then appointed as Senior Vice President in the Western Division. It was March, 2008 that Jim landed in St. Louis, Missouri in his role as Divisional Executive Vice President. In May of 2014, Jim transitioned back into his practice full-time.
Jim graduated from the University of Denver with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a major in Finance. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and a Chartered Life Underwriter. He has also been awarded the title of Retirement Planning Specialist by Equitable Advisors based on the receipt of a Wharton Certificate in Retirement Planning*. Jim’s field of expertise is in planning for small to medium size businesses, their owners and managers. Jim has used his vast experience and knowledge to help his clients in an efficient manner that has put Jim at the top of his field.
Jim believes strongly in participating in and giving back to, the community. Jim is a member of the Board of Trustees for Longs Peak Council, Boy Scouts of America and the Ben C. Delatour Foundation. He is also a member of FINSECA and MDRT.
Jim resides in Colorado with his wife Kathy. He is the proud father of two sons, and the proud grandparent of five grandchildren.
